Lord Lyon in the United States

Dr. Joseph John Morrow, the Lord Lyon King of Arms, was a guest of honour at the Loch Norman Highland Games which was held in the grounds of Rural Hill outside Huntersville, North Carolina, the weekend of 17-19 April 2015.
In conjunction with the Games, The Council of Scottish Clans and Associations (COSCA) held the 4th Annual Scottish Clans & Families Caucus. The subject of this Caucus was Scottish Genealogy and Heraldry Workshop which was presented on all three days of the Games. Lyon Morrow along with Sir Malcom MacGregor of MacGregor, Bt., Andrew Morrison Viscount Dunrossil, and Dr. Bruce Durie each spoke on different topics. The program last about two-hours each day.
In addition to doing his presentation, Lyon Morrow visited some 50 clan tents. The Heraldry Society of Scotland (HSS) and the Society of Scottish Armiger (SSA) had a joint heraldry tent that displayed both Scottish heraldry and provide information on Scottish Heraldry. Tent was manned by John Curtiss Glynn of Glynstewart and Donald Draper Cambell (to whom we are grateful for this news item) along with the some help of HSS/SSA members Brown McCallum and COL William Boswell of Toberchurn. A number of HSS and SSA members stopped by the tent.
